Enter by the Narrow Gate

"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
Matthew 7:13-14

A Beginning

Despite the cliche, we are all on a journey.  We don't choose the starting point or its end.  We don't have any say about the physical vehicle we've been given to travel in.  But we find ourselves here and our choices make all the difference.

Perhaps you have, at some point, thought, "I didn't ask to be born".  Does your life seem like a gift and a treasure?  An accident?  A burden?  Does it matter that much either way?

It matters.  What we believe sets our course and impacts where we end up.  Thinking about what you really believe is powerful.  Beliefs determine how we experience our circumstances, they shape our responses, and in that way they create the future.  Powerful, indeed.

I read a blog about risk before I committed to begin mine.  I liked the rewards of taking risks and I hated the thoughts of not trying -- not living fully.  So, I decided to give this a shot.  I hope I find my voice.  In any case, I believe that this desire to share my journey will affect it deeply.  If you happen to be reading, I hope it may bless you, too.
